Working at my computer earlier today, I looked up to see white ibis balancing on the utility lines. They really don't look stable up there, but they made me smile.
The Australian pines behind offer a perching place to an osprey. I hear it calling to its mate frequently, but there's no nest.
Despite looking onto the street, I get a nice view from here.
Beautiful birds...one of my favorite garden visitors.
ReplyDeleteNice bird view from your window. If I got something like that, I would sit by the computer and occasionally see the "Wildlife" for relaxation.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice view you had!
ReplyDeleteHaving a nice view does help when stuck doing inside tasks. I stare at an interior wall. You've inspired me to do some rearranging.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view from your work station! Always nice to see nature while you work.
ReplyDeleteThey do look a little uncomfortable sitting on those lines. Our osprey are busy at work creating or refreshing their nests in expectations of young'uns.
ReplyDeleteThanks, folks. I am indeed blessed.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that, to look up from work and see white ibis! They are lovely birds.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb. I actually work from home. But my last job had a spectacular view over Biscayne Bay.

ReplyDeleteWoops, wrong bird, which is why I removed the comment! But what i wanted to say is that I am living in Florida too right now and one of life's aspects that I really enjoy here is the birds - just amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, GG. You have a nice blog, too. I'm also a Brit and have lived here (Miami) for nearly 25 years. And Fairchild is my spiritual gardening home!
