The flower looks like a Eucalyptus curtisii. Your tree has a larger leaf. About 50 years ago the south Florida gardeners starting a number of Eucalyptus species from seed. Just Google Eucalyptus and you might find the right species. I would be happy with just Eucalyptus.
I completely missed your comment. Sorry! I agree the flowers look similar, but this tree doesn't have the correct leaves for the eucalyptus. (I Googled E. curtisii images.) I guess it remains a mystery.
