That is so pretty. I've never seen that tree in bloom. I'm just a little too far north for it to grow in my area. I'm glad to see that the unusually cold winter didn't seem to stop them in South Florida.

It is indeed an eye candy! I went to school in University of Miami Coral Gables campus, but never saw this tree before. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Nana and Ami. I only wish I knew which Erythrina it is. Perhaps someone will tell us.

Beautiful - we don't have anything like it in the UK. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, but you have snowdrops, bluebells, daffs, all of which I miss a lot.

Oh, I fell in love with the coral tree on a trip to San Diego, where they are planted everywhere! We do not see these in Central Florida.

so unique & exotic.
They look beautiful - wonder how it would look if they are decorated as cuttings & placed in a vase with heliconia & frangipani.

@FlaGirl: Apparently, they can be grown in containers which can be protected when the weather gets too cold. Still, that's a lot of work. Maybe a bonsai??

@James: I would love to find out!

Hi, FlowerLady. It's a Zone 10 tree, and this is the only one I know of. I'm sure Fairchild Garden has them, though.
